Who We Are?
Our Story
Hello, my name is Mike and my wife’s name is Jessica, we got married in 2018 and we’ve got 5 kids. While struggling with only one income, we decided to take the leap into self-employment and started a cleaning business. The business went very well for us for the last 12 years. A big job loss put us scrabbling to get enough income to pay bills. After a year and a half, we finally got enough jobs to get caught back up. Then one day (February 2023) I was bending down to pick up something and BOOM my back went out and I could hardly walk.
Jessica was working the jobs, taking care kid’s needs, household chores, and helping me. After 4 weeks I could still hardly walk or sit down or even get out of bed by myself. I just laid there wondering HOW THE HE** I’m going to go to work. By this point we had lost one of the new jobs (not for lack of doing our job) but so big corporations could save a few bucks. While I struggled to get better, we we’re hurting financially again. Trying to decide between food or bills and this or that. We came close to being foreclosed on twice this year (2025).

While I was laying around the house in pain for that year and a half, we were baking stuff to save a little money and cut out some of the unhealthy ingredients in our food. During the day I started watching YouTubers videos about helping homeless people. These are some sad stories, of good people just down on their luck. Most of the homeless people had some sort of injury making them disabled and unable to work for a short period of time and they lost everything. While the YouTubers and their partners are doing great things for the homeless, I couldn’t help feeling like there’s a better way to help. I started researching homelessness in America and WOW.
A CHANGE NEEDED TO BE MADE

Research was spread out between multiple sites across the web. It turned into a mountain of information that was overwhelming, to say the least. We decided to start Impact Wellness + Wellbeing to encourage communities to help the struggling achieve a happier, and healthier lifestyle. Here you can find a community that’s building purpose, growing/baking food, and housing our fellow Americans. Iowa check out our Bakery https://Freshlykneadedcottagegoods.com. Join our members and help in the fight for the starving and struggling individuals.
